Sarah, a BSc Geography student at The University of Sheffield, has just finished her three month internship with us here at Envireau Water.

Here she tells us about what she has learned from spending her summer months as an Envireau Water intern:

“During my time with Envireau Water I have learned a great deal and would like to personally thank all the Envireau Water team for making it such an enjoyable experience.

Mostly during my time at Envireau Water I assisted the North Yorkshire team by completing figures on a whole range of different projects. I have been assisting Phil Ham, Envireau Water’s Managing Director, with internal projects such as collecting information on Private Water Supplies in the UK. I have also successfully completed training in Emergency First Aid at Work.

I have had the opportunity to assist on several site visits. Typically these visits involve collecting water level data from boreholes or water sampling. I have learned a great deal from all the site visits that I have been on…especially the importance of waterproofs!

The Envireau Water team do a lot of activities outside of the office which I have enjoyed getting involved with. One of the highlights of my experience was completing the Three Yorkshire Peaks Challenge for the Calvert Trust Exmoor. The Staff and Clients Event that Envireau Water hosted at our North Yorkshire Office was also an amazing day, especially ‘Envireau’s Got Talent’ and Crazy Golf.

I would like to thank everyone at Envireau Water for a fantastic three months and wish everyone the best for the future!”

It has been an absolute pleasure having Sarah as part of our team for the summer and we wish her all the best with her studies and future endeavours.

If you are interested in joining our team in North Yorkshire, we are currently recruiting a Senior Earth Scientist with 4+ years’ experience. Find out more here.
