Working With Us

Do you want to develop a challenging career within a friendly environment?

Would you like to be part of a consultancy where you can grow and develop; where the variety of work and career opportunities are important; where your contribution makes a real difference to you and those around you?

We are expanding our team in response to a growing demand in UK project work, and we are interested in hearing from experienced hydrologists and hydrogeologists (or related disciplines) to complement and deepen our existing team and play a key role in helping us grow our business.

Our Company

Envireau Water is one of the UK’s leading specialist water consultancies and part of the RSK Group, a major international environmental, engineering and technical services company. We’re a passionate team of dedicated professionals, providing expert guidance on the management and regulation of natural water systems, with a reputation underpinned by over 25 years’ experience.

Our growing, dynamic organisation has developed a culture with a positive and professional ethos. Rather than feeling like a small cog in a large wheel, at Envireau Water you will get the opportunity to make a real impact with your work. You will be given the space and responsibility to show what you can do, and you will be rewarded for the positive difference that you make for clients and the business.

Although we have offices across four locations in the UK, we operate as a single team. We support one another, have a range of flexible and family-friendly working solutions, and we invest in the wellbeing of our staff. Being part of our team is more than just having a job. It’s about working with like-minded people, who enjoy what they do, want to put in the effort, and have some fun along the way.

If we sound like a team you want to be part of, check out our career opportunities below.

Shona Symon

Senior Hydrogeologist

"I joined Envireau Water's Scottish office in 2021 after four years of technical experience in water resource management. Envireau Water has given me the unmatched opportunity to refine my professional expertise across an everchanging range of projects.

Working with my line manager Christopher Woodhouse, I have delivered groundwater feasibility studies, environmental monitoring schemes, a vast array of licensing applications and hydrogeological risk assessments throughout the UK.

My project management experience has grown considerably, and I look forward to building my career with the support of the Envireau Water team."

Lee Clarke

Principal Hydrologist and Hydrogeologist

"I have worked at Envireau Water for over 16 years and throughout this time my professional development has been supported and nurtured. My wish to advance my skills in expert witness work was encouraged and I went on to attain the Cardiff University Law School/Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate. This, along with other professional development that I have undertaken, including chartership, has enabled me to develop a successful and satisfying career. Even at principal level, Envireau Water is there to offer support and foster self-directed development.

I have a varied and interesting workload, working with clients across the quarrying and mining, oil and gas and agricultural sectors. My role is now predominantly desk based; however, I get out and about meeting clients old and new, which is always a pleasure! The flexible working environment and the people are what make Envireau Water so special. Whether they be suppliers, clients or colleagues, it is a pleasure to work with them all, and I am still enjoying my job, even after 16 years!"
