East Midlands Regional Group of the Geological Society of London have invited Envireau Water’s James Dodds to speak at their next meeting on 8th October. He will be tackling the subject of “The Whirlygig of Hydrogeological Time”.
During James’ extensive experience as a consulting hydrogeologist he has seen a wide range of technical and regulatory approaches to hydrogeological risk and problem, from groundwater resources management, mine and quarry water management to landfill and contaminated land. Over this nearly 30 year period there would appear to be a cyclical nature to the regulatory approach and the issues that need to be investigated and solved. James will discuss the nature of these cycles and what can be learned from them and on that basis what the new environmental geologists and hydrogeologists might encounter over the next 30 years.
