On Tuesday evening, a group from Envireau Water took part in the Geological Society East Midlands Regional Group Summer Excursion.
Dr Steve Parry, BGS, led an interesting tour around Nottingham City Centre, taking in examples of the usage of various rock types as building and paving stone.
The tour started at the iconic Nottingham Castle, looped through Market Square and the Lace Market, and ended with the pinnacle of the tour – the Park Tunnel.
Our social media correspondent published live updates of the tour on the Envireau Water twitter page @envireauwater.
