Getting technical - finding water, getting rid of water

Posted by Envireau Water on 02/0810 at 05:47 PM

According to the Met Office, July was the UK's wettest month of the year so far - at the same time the first six months of the year were the driest since 1929!

The average rainfall in July was 102mm (4in), with parts of Scotland and north Wales seeing twice the normal rainfall expected in July. Parts of the UK experienced torrential rain in July, but people in the south were basking in the sun, with rainfall at just 27mm – 40% of the average expected for the month.

Confused?

Well the solution is easy. It doesn't matter if you want to find water and have a private water supply or you want to get rid of water because of flooding - the right way to go about it is to carry out a full and thorough technical assessment of your needs.

Envireau Water Hydrogeologist James Dodds said today, "We've had enquiries today from clients, not far from each other, one wanting a flood risk assessment carried out urgently, the other wanting a borehole prognosis so they can have their own water independent of the water suppliers. It's indicitive of the variability of water supply these days."
