James Dodds and Tamsin Morey attended the UKIA annual Spring conference ‘Water security and food security’ on 2nd March.

It was an interesting day with speakers covering drought challenges/modelling, the Spanish perspective of drought, the role of abstractor groups, planned abstraction reform, international approaches to water allocation and governance, integrating water demands from agriculture, utilities and the environment and the risks/resilience of the global food system. There was some lively debate in the closing question time!
