Envireau Water is pleased to welcome Sarah Williams, who is undertaking a 3-month internship with our team.
Sarah will be based in Envireau Water’s North office near Richmond, North Yorkshire. She will be working on a range of projects to gain an insight of what it’s like to be a hydrologist and hydrogeologist.
Sarah has recently finished her second year of a BSc in Geography at Sheffield University. A highlight of her degree to date, was the opportunity to travel to Almería in Southern Spain to conduct a group research project on infiltration rates in the desert. She has also specifically enjoyed learning GIS – software which allows the management and analysis of geographic information – which is certainly a useful skill to have as part of the Envireau Water team. During the final year of her degree, Sarah will be completing her dissertation which focuses on the metal mining pollution in the Lake District.
Whilst working for Envireau Water, Sarah will be undertaking both field and office based technical activities. She said “I am thrilled to be joining the Envireau Water team, and am very interested to learn about the work that they do. It’s only day 3, and I have already been out on site conducting produced water sampling. It’s going to be a busy 12 weeks!”
