We are thrilled to have Mark Webb, Grundfos UK and John Calder, Dura Pump contributing to the afternoon agenda of the 2016 Borehole Users Conference.

Mark Webb from Grundfos UK will talk about the ins and outs of submersible pumps. He will answer questions such as: How do pumps work? How are they controlled? Why do pumps fail? Which pump is the right pump? What’s a set point? What’s NPSH and why does it matter? As well as common errors and misconceptions in pump selection and installation.

John Calder from Dura Pump will talk about “power”. This will cover topics such as the basics of power requirements for pumps; starting pumps and the different power requirements; controls from simple on/off to complex logic based systems; energy efficiency and the use of invertors and the like; and anything else that he thinks might be interesting!

With the conference only 2 weeks away, now is your last chance to book to attend. This is the flagship event for anyone who uses, manages, owns or plans to develop a private water supply. Find out more, and book here.
