Three senior specialists have published a new document that shares the UK and EU’s water regulatory policy and expertise with developing countries.

The document entitled: ‘Regulation for Water Quality – How to Safeguard the Water Environment’ contains a structured approach to water resource management, water regulation and catchment planning, which was originally developed as a knowledge exchange programme between the EU and China.

Given its recent success, it is expected that the document will become an important knowledge transfer resource for developing countries where polluted water bodies are a significant hazard to public health and where rapid population and economic growth is leading to uncontrolled environmental damage.

The publication can be accessed for free here.
