Dr Phil Ham, Director and Principal Hydrogeologist of Envireau Water, attended a fantastic event at multi-award winning Salopian Brewery, Shrewsbury on the 4th May.

Organised by the Institute of Brewing and Distilling UK Midland Section, over 30 brewers and others in the brewing supply chain gathered for an evening entailing networking, a tour of the Salopian Brewing Company’s new 80hL brewery, a presentation from Dr Ham, and of course, a taste of beer. Phil’s presentation took a basic look at understanding boreholes, the benefits of groundwater for brewers, along with the common problems with boreholes.

Phil commented, “It was a great event to get involved in, with a lot of interesting discussion generated around the use of boreholes for brewers. We look forward to attending the next one.”
