We’re lucky enough to be situated in the lovely village of Draycott in Derbyshire at Envireau HQ. The village has an incredible community group, made up of volunteers. They dedicate their time to planting floral installations around the village, to participate in both the regional and national RHS ‘In Bloom’ competitions.
Envireau Water is pleased to sponsor Draycott in Bloom again. This year, like last year, our team is lending a helping hand by watering the pots and borders of the church opposite our office. The canal theme this year celebrates the exciting news that our stretch of canal will be navigable again soon. There are lots of beautiful bright colours to be seen around the village in the blooms and on the pots and planters. Lots of the planters display beautiful painted patterns, reminding us of the artwork you see on narrowboats.
Did you know? The group has a rainwater harvesting agreement with the church where rainwater is collected from the gutters, stored in water butts and used to water the flowers around the village.
We’re thrilled to be able to support our local community and want to thank the ‘DIBers’ (Draycott-In-Bloom-ers) for making Draycott such a lovely village to work in. Good luck for both the East Midlands in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions taking place this summer.
