We believe that being in business for 2 decades is an accomplishment that calls for celebration!
To mark the occasion, we have created this page to share Envireau Water’s success story.

It all began in James Dodds’ attic when James Dodds Independent Hydrogeologist was founded.

James Dodds Chairperson, Envireau Water

“Wow 20 years! Where has the time gone? No company reaches a major milestone without dedicated staff and dependable associates. I recognise the integral role that my team, past and present, has played in Envireau Water’s success and would like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you! I also want to acknowledge our clients, especially those who have been with us since 1998: without their loyalty and support, we would have nothing to celebrate.”

2002

2002

With an increasing work load, James was joined by his first employee, Tim Grapes. It was time for a new company name and a new office. JDIH (Water and Environment) Ltd was born and operated out of a pub (!), officially Lime Kiln Business Centre, in Breedon on the Hill.

“Envireau Water has travelled a long way from its humble origins but I am proud to have played a small part in helping it on its way and I think it is a real achievement to have grown the business into the force it is today, whilst keeping a sense of togetherness and shared responsibility, which is really rare these days. So well done Mr D and roll on another 20 years!”

2008

By our 10th anniversary, our team had grown again – we needed more desk space! We moved to our office in Draycott, where we are still based today. Staying true to our theme of unusual office space, Cedars Farm Barn didn’t disappoint… as the name suggests it’s a converted barn. James’ desk is located in the old pigsty (enough said!)

Everything we do relates to the natural water environment – whether that’s solving problems with surface water, groundwater, or a combination of the two. With this in mind, we decided to bring ‘water’ into our company name. Following an exciting rebranding project, the company name evolved to what it is today – Envireau Water.

Looking to the future
“Envireau Water has built its reputation through hard work and a history of success. Going forwards, we will be building on the success that James has created over the past 20 years, and ensuring we never lose sight of why he started the company in the first place: to develop and implement pragmatic, expert solutions for Envireau Water’s clients.”
