Principal Hydrogeologist

I joined Envireau Water in early 2021 as a Principal Hydrogeologist, with the aim of establishing a permanent base and developing Envireau Water’s business in Scotland. I am a Chartered Geologist and have 9 years’ technical experience within the extractive, waste and water resources sectors. I am also an active member of the Extractive Industry Geology (EIG) organising committee.

After graduating with an MSci in Natural Sciences (specialising in geology) at the University of Cambridge, I began my career as an exploration geologist in Western Australia. I then undertook an MSc in Hydrogeology at the University of Birmingham, completing my master’s thesis with SRK in Cardiff. Following this, I spent 3 years as a consultant Hydrogeologist in New Zealand working on hydrogeological and hydrological projects in the infrastructure, agricultural and water resources sectors.

Prior to joining Envireau Water, I worked as a Senior Hydrogeologist at Stantec (formerly ESI Ltd) within the minerals and waste team. I primarily supported quarrying, mining and landfill operators across the UK with planning, permitting and abstraction licence applications.
