August 28, 2019

Deborah Thomas, our Senior Hydrogeologist, spends much of her time here at Envireau Water working within the quarrying and mining industry. As a mark of acknowledgement to the hydrogeological work she undertakes in this sector, Deborah has been accepted as a Member of the Institute of Quarrying.

For over 100 years, the Institute of Quarrying has been supporting people working in the mineral extraction industry. Membership to the Institute of Quarrying is about demonstrating your professionalism and commitment to the mineral extraction industry.

Becoming a member of the Institute requires candidates to provide evidence of their competence in their field of operation. They must show ongoing commitment to learning and development in their career. Being a member means being part of a wider industry community that shares knowledge and best practice, and abides by industry standards.

Deborah will be attending events at the Derbyshire branch and looks forwards to expanding her industry knowledge and meeting people within the wider industry community.

Congratulations Deborah!
