Here at Envireau Water, we value any opportunity to make new introductions, and catch up with acquaintances.
We were therefore inspired, this time last year, to start a series of informal networking events for organisations based in and around Derby, Nottingham and Loughborough.
Yesterday saw the most recent of these events as we were again joined by representatives from like-minded organisations including Food Science Fusion, CLA, Michael Evans & Associates, Geoplan Ltd, GRM Development Solutions, XEIAD, Heaton Planning, Land Research Associates, and Landesign. Attendees heard from Duncan Ross who gave a detailed update on post-Brexit countryside funding, one of the top focuses for the CLA at the moment.
Commenting on the session, Leanne Thomas, Marketing Co-ordinator: “We enjoyed reconnecting with people who attended our first networking session a year ago, and also to welcome new organisations who joined us for the first time. It is great to put faces to names in a day where e-mail is the most commonly used form of communication.”
Our next ‘Who’s in My Backyard’ networking session is taking place on the 24th May, and is aimed at young professionals who are keen to meet new contacts and develop relationships early in their careers. Find out more here, and if you would like to get involved, please contact Leanne Thomas, Marketing Co-ordinator on email@example.com or 01332 871 879.
