Envireau Water's Summer Soiree

It’s been eighteen months since our last in-person get together but yesterday we all descended on the Aske Estate to take part in a day packed full of training and team building exercises. This included some in house training delivered by our very own Lauren Moore, followed by command and leadership tasks and a very muddy lap of the Krypton Factor assault course at Adrenalin North Yorkshire, to get the Envireau magic sparkling! To round off the day, we gathered at Middleton Lodge for an evening soiree to remember!

With our new office in Scotland created during the lockdown, and an array of new people joining our growing team, it was fantastic to bring everyone back together for full day of activities. Whilst our team is now spread across four locations in the UK, our ‘one company’ approach remains as strong as ever. Just take a look for yourself, we have plenty of pictures to prove it!

Our team building and training day began with some interesting scenario-based tasks, getting all our brains in force for the day ahead. Our next stop was to Adrenalin, North Yorkshire for more team building and a very muddy assault course!

With the finish line in sight, we raced to the end in our muddy gear, ready to finish the fun filled day in our finest clothes. Middleton Lodge was the perfect location!

As much as we all love the sunshine and have been embracing the recent warmer weather spell across the UK, the prolonged dry conditions are now raising concerns that England may be at risk of a potential drought this summer. Following an exceptionally sunny and dry April, which experienced just over 56% of usual rainfall, the start of May was also the warmest on record, surpassing the previous high set in 1990. With water resources already strained, it is more important than ever that proactive measures are promptly adopted to mitigate this risk, promote water conservation and avoid the potential for future restrictions. We asked Principal Water Resources Specialist, Tamsin Morey , for her thoughts on the matter... Tamsin, what dangers are we already seeing in the UK?

Phil is also a qualified expert witness, having completed the highly acclaimed Cardiff University Law School/Bond Solon expert witness training course.

A Chartered Geologist and Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying, Chris has over 13 years of technical experience across a range of areas, from water supply development and dewatering assessments to effluent discharge and flood risk management. Chris oversees projects primarily in the minerals and quarrying and waste and distilling industries and also provides expertise on projects across the UK, primarily in the minerals and waste sectors.
