Senior Water Resources Specialist
I am a Senior Water Resources Specialist, based in the North Office, in Richmond. I joined Envireau Water in 2022 and have 5 years of water resources experience having worked previously for Essex and Suffolk Water and Mott Macdonald. During this time, my role primarily focused on the management of surface water abstraction; how we utilise them presently to creating models to assess various future outcomes with different climate change scenarios and droughts.
Prior to this, I graduated from Durham University with a BSc in Geophysics with Geology and an MSc in Hydrology and Climate Change from Newcastle University. My master’s thesis was based on the relationship between climate change and river flooding. It was during my BSc when I undertook a water focused module that I developed an interest in water management and was keen to make a positive impact on the management of water across the UK. I am also Chair of the CIWEM East Anglian Branch and am currently working towards Chartership.
As a Senior Water Resources Specialist for Envireau Water, my role focuses on abstraction licensing, environmental permitting, and other regulatory issues.
