It is a year since James Dodds, Chairperson of Envireau Water, wrote an article for Quarry Management on the ‘New’ Authorisations process. He has been published again in the January 2019 issue of Quarry Management reviewing where we are now with Quarry Dewatering New Authorisations.
The article details the two different types of licences; the process routes that need to be undertaken; and exemptions from the licensing requirement. James highlights the lessons that have been learned from applications that have been submitted to date, and key messages from the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales. With only a small percentage of the expected number of applications having been submitted to date, the article places an emphasis on the importance of compiling and submitting your application sooner rather than later.
You can access the article in the Envireau Knowledge section of website. Envireau Knowledge is your opportunity to keep up to date, and learn more about the latest industry developments for free.
