The University of Derby has written a case study on Graduate Assistant, Lauren Moore’s, work experience opportunity with our team.
Lauren came across Envireau Water when we were promoting our young professionals networking event. “I was attracted to the company as they were very accommodating and enthusiastic about encouraging professional development in young people,” she says. “I picked up the phone and contacted the chairman of the company to explore the opportunity and was offered a placement.”
Here at Envireau Water, we pride ourselves in offering opportunities for people to gain experience in our area of expertise and were pleased to welcome Lauren to the team.
Following her week long placement, Lauren came back in the summer of 2018 to undertake a 3 month internship. She is now a fully fledged member of the Envireau Water team undertaking a dual role within company.
Utilising the knowledge gained from her degree, Lauren supports the technical team to deliver client projects across our full range of sectors, from manufacturing and pharmaceuticals to the built environment.
Furthermore, Lauren is involved in the business support function of Envireau Water, using her organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of our Head Office. Working directly with our Marketing Co-ordinator, she is gaining an insight to this area of the business which includes the organisation of Envireau Knowledge events, such as the highly acclaimed Borehole Users Conference.
It goes to show that it is worth pursuing all experience and networking opportunities, especially early in your career. Oh! Have you seen that we are currently organising our next young professionals networking event on the 7th March? It’s free…It’s fun…There’s beer! Get involved!
