Here at Envireau Water, we pride ourselves in offering opportunities for people to gain experience in our area of expertise. Over the summer, Ben Print and Lauren Moore are joining the Envireau Water team to gain an insight into what we get up to in our busy Derbyshire office.

Ben has recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (International) in Geological Sciences. Before he enrolls at the University of Birmingham in September to undertake an MSc in Hydrogeology, he is spending the summer with Envireau Water, working on a range of hydrogeological projects. Activities will include field work, data collection and analysis, as well as geological map interpretation. Ben will be using experience gained from modules undertaken in Canada, focusing on physical and chemical aspects of hydrogeology, alongside associated fieldwork.

Ben comments: “I am excited about the opportunity to work for Envireau Water, where I will be able to learn a variety of technical, analytical and field skills. This experience will be great in helping prepare myself for my forthcoming Hydrogeology Master’s course.”

You may recognise Lauren, as she completed a week long placement with our team earlier in the year, as part of her vocational module. Now a graduate of the University of Derby, after having achieved a 1st in her Geography BSc, Lauren has returned and is already proving to be a pivotal team member in supporting the administrative functions of the business. With the knowledge she gained from her degree, she will also be supporting the technical team to deliver client projects across our full range of sectors.

Lauren adds: “I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Envireau Water over the summer, following the completion of my degree. I gained invaluable experience through my previous placement and I am excited to build on these skills whilst working with such a friendly team.”

Our team is still expanding! Have you checked out our vacancies page recently? We’re currently recruiting a Technical Director and Hydrologist to be based in our Head Office.
