Despite the rain falling heavily, like most typical British summer days, Envireau Water had the pleasure of hosting a fun filled Client and Staff garden party…indoors! Who needs the sunshine when you have streams of bunting decorating the office?
The day was a celebration of Envireau Water’s successes this year and a thank you to our staff, clients, suppliers and friends for their support and hard work towards all that we have achieved.
The day kicked off with our team coming together to reflect on our 2016 accomplishments, the lessons we have learned and where we are heading next. It has been a been a whirlwind of a year for Envireau Water thus far, with new members of staff bringing new skills and services to the team, the development of our training and learning centre, charity hikes across the country, and successful projects with both new and longstanding clients.
The team took part in the eagerly anticipated #EnvireauWaterThrowback Quiz, to test how well we knew our colleagues. This elaborate guessing game included rounds such as ‘When I Grow Up’ (did we really all aspire to be Hydrogeologists and Hydrologists?) and ‘Guess The Baby’ (photographs have been stored for future bribery). Ironically, Andrew Woodliffe, the newest member of the team, was crowned the winner!
In the afternoon, the team were thrilled to be joined by clients, suppliers and friends to share news of the year to date, whilst being spoiled with an assortment of sweet treats. Our guests were responsible for judging the ‘Day in the Life of Envireau Water’ photograph competition, and voted Pauline Jurczak’s artistic river shot the winner. James Dodds, Managing Director, embraced the opportunity to highlight the Calvert Trust Exmoor as a worthwhile cause, and presented a cheque for £1,593.40 to the charity, all of which was raised from the hikes completed earlier in the year by the team. We were fortunate to hear an uplifting presentation from Jeremy Murfitt, Director of EiS Property who can usually be found outside flying drones for remote sensing. Unfortunately the weather stopped us from seeing a drone in action, however some did brave it outside for a go at Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting. There was a mutual feeling of surprise, when our Marketing Co-ordinator was deemed the reigning (geddit?) champion.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebrations. Here’s to rest of the 2016 and all the successes that are still to come our way.
Don’t forget to take a look at the photographs from the day!
