Business Development Associate

I joined Envireau Water as a Business Development Associate in October 2020. I work with the Board by providing an external view of the opportunities in an ever changing market be that expanding the products and services offered or seeking out new sector opportunities.

I graduated with a first-class degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Newcastle in 1989 became a chartered engineer in 1996 and was awarded a Nuffield Farming Scholarship in 2004. I have spent most of my professional career in energy consulting, starting at what used to be called Farm Electric in 1993. I helped to form part of a management buyout in 2000 and became Technical Director in 2004. In 2017 we sold what was then known as FEC Energy to the National Farmers Union. Having seen the company through its transition to NFU Energy I left in early 2020. I founded Now Then Energy in late 2020, where I utilise my 27 years' experience in energy to help businesses reduce usage and cost.

My focus has always been to solve clients problems through taking the time to understand them and their business, to take the best path to a solution for them and not simply the easiest path. It’s as much about developing long term relationships as it is about technical knowledge. This is very much how Envireau Water work as well.
